Ingredients

For the Biscuit Cake Base:

  • 160g (about 2 1/3 cups) Biscuit, broken or crushed into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup (113g) Unsalted butter
  • 115g (about 3/4 cup) Semi-sweet chocolate (50-60% cocoa solids)
  • 1/4 cup (22g) Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp (5g) Vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup (100g) Sweetened condensed milk

For the Chocolate Fudge Topping:

  • 75g (about 1/2 cup) Semi-sweet chocolate (50-60% cocoa solids)
  • 1/3 cup (100g) Sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

For the Biscuit Cake Base:

  1. Begin by breaking the biscuits into small pieces. Set it aside.
  2. Take a large bowl and combine the chopped chocolate and butter in it. Melt the chocolate and butter mixture using a double boiler or microwave. If using a microwave, heat it in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until the mixture becomes smooth.
  3. Stir in the cocoa powder and vanilla extract until completely dissolved.
  4. Add the broken biscuits to the bowl and stir until well coated with the chocolate mixture.
  5. Pour in the condensed milk and stir until everything is thoroughly combined.
  6. Take an 8-inch square cake pan and line it with parchment paper.
  7. Spread the biscuit and chocolate mixture evenly into the prepared cake pan, ensuring the top is leveled.
  8. Place the pan in the refrigerator and allow it to chill for approximately 1 hour.

For the Chocolate Fudge Topping:

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped chocolate and condensed milk. Melt the mixture using a double boiler or microwave. If using a microwave, heat it in 30-second intervals, stirring each time until the mixture becomes smooth.
  2. Immediately spread the chocolate fudge topping over the biscuit base before it starts to cool and thicken.
  3. Refrigerate for 2-3 hours or until firm enough to cut into squares.

Notes

Keep refrigerated until serving time. If you prefer a creamier texture, remove from the fridge about 10-20 minutes before serving.
