Ingredients:
- 1 cup (7oz – 198g) Granulated Sugar
- 1/2 cup (125ml) Simmering Water
- 1/2 tsp Salt (optional)

2-Ingredient Glossy and Clear Sauce that looks like honey and tastes like caramel! You can drizzle this caramel sauce over puddings, cakes, ice cream, pies, and more!
Directions:
- Heat the water until simmering.
- Place the sugar in a large saucepan. Stir over low heat until just melted. It can burn very quickly, so be aware!
- Add the simmering water, about 1 tbsp at a time, stirring after each addition, until it forms a golden clear liquid. Be careful, as it will bubble vigorously, and sugar becomes extremely hot when melted!
- Add salt (optional) and stir until dissolved.
- Let it cool at room temperature for about 10 minutes.
- Store the caramel sauce in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. It will thicken after chilled.
