Chocolate Chip Vanilla Cake Donuts Recipe. A soft and fluffy vanilla cake donut full of chocolate chips and topped with a delicious chocolate glaze. A simple recipe that is fun to make for any occasion!

Ingredients:
Cake Donuts:
- 1 1/4 cups (155g) All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tsp (8g) Baking Powder
- A pinch of salt
- 2/3 cup (130g) Granulated Sugar
- 2/3 cup (110g) Chocolate Chips
- 1 Large Egg at room temperature
- 1/2 cup (120g) Plain Yogurt at room temperature
- 1/4 cup (55g) Melted Butter, unsalted
- 2 tsp (10g) Vanilla Extract
Chocolate Glaze:
- 1 cup (135g) Powdered Sugar
- 2 Tbsp (13g) Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 2 Tbsp (30g) Milk (and a bit more, if necessary)

Cake Donuts:
- Grease a donut pan or silicone mold with vegetable oil or cooking spray. Dust with flour and tap to remove the excess. Set it aside.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large bowl, sift the flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar. Stir the dry ingredients until well combined.
- Add the chocolate chips and stir until they are all coated with flour. Set it aside.
- In a medium bowl, place the egg and, using a wire whisk, mix for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Add the yogurt, melted butter, and vanilla. Mix until well combined.
- Pour the mixture over the dry ingredients and stir gently using a spatula until just combined. It will form a thick batter. Do not overmix.
- With the help of a piping bag, fill the prepared donut pan about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let them cool for about 10 minutes at room temperature, unmold the donuts and let them cool completely on a wire rack.
Chocolate Glaze:
- In a medium bowl, sift the powdered sugar and cocoa powder. Add 2 tablespoons of milk and stir until it forms a glaze. If the glaze is too thick, you can add a little bit more milk.
- Using a spoon, pour the glaze over the donuts and immediately add some chocolate sprinkles on top before the glaze starts to set.
- You can store these donuts in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 or 4 days.
