2-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse (no cream, no eggs, no bake)


2-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse. A creamy chocolate mousse that takes only two ingredients and a few minutes to make! So smooth and delicious!

Active time: 10mins | Yield: 3-4 servings

Ingredients:
  • 8oz (226g) Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate, chopped (about 1 + 1/3 cups)
  • 10oz (280g) Very Ripe Bananas, peeled (about 2 Large Bananas)

Directions:
  1. Place the chocolate in a medium bowl. Melt using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Note: I recommend using good quality chocolate with about 30 to 50% cocoa solids. The final consistency may vary depending on the percentage of cocoa solids in the chocolate. For dark chocolate (more than 60% cocoa solids), reduce the amount to about 5oz (140g).
  3. Do not use cocoa powder instead of chocolate. Otherwise, the mixture won’t set in the fridge.
  4. In a food processor or a blender, place the ripe bananas. Process until it forms a smooth cream without any lumps.
  5. Add the melted chocolate and process until well combined.
  6. Pour the mixture into serving cups and sprinkle some chocolate shavings on top.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Keep refrigerated until serving time.
  8. If the mousse is too firm, leave it on the counter for a few minutes before serving.
