2-Ingredient Chocolate Mousse. A creamy chocolate mousse that takes only two ingredients and a few minutes to make! So smooth and delicious!
Active time: 10mins | Yield: 3-4 servings
Ingredients:
- 8oz (226g) Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate, chopped (about 1 + 1/3 cups)
- 10oz (280g) Very Ripe Bananas, peeled (about 2 Large Bananas)
Video:
Directions:
- Place the chocolate in a medium bowl. Melt using a double boiler or microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval until smooth. Set aside.
- Note: I recommend using good quality chocolate with about 30 to 50% cocoa solids. The final consistency may vary depending on the percentage of cocoa solids in the chocolate. For dark chocolate (more than 60% cocoa solids), reduce the amount to about 5oz (140g).
- Do not use cocoa powder instead of chocolate. Otherwise, the mixture won’t set in the fridge.
- In a food processor or a blender, place the ripe bananas. Process until it forms a smooth cream without any lumps.
- Add the melted chocolate and process until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into serving cups and sprinkle some chocolate shavings on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Keep refrigerated until serving time.
- If the mousse is too firm, leave it on the counter for a few minutes before serving.
